There are many benefits in introducing natural food to our dogs, a few of them are: higher nutritional value, more digestible, free of preservatives and additives, higher in natural vitamin and mineral content.
We also have many reports from our happy customers of: improved energy levels, shinier coat, reduced sensitivity to skin conditions and allergies, more regular bowel function and less fussy eating.
Complete and balanced means that the Oh my DOG! foods exceeds all nutritional requirements of your dogs needs, from macronutrients such as protein, fat and carbohydrates to micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals.
Our recipes are designed for your dogs growth, from their puppy year all the way to their golden oldies.
Oh My Dog! natural food is a balanced meal that has the levels of essential nutrients needed for dogs to have a healthy life.
However, for a dog that has always had dry food as their main food source, changing it abruptly to natural food can cause diarrhoea, vomiting and fur loss as their body is not used to this new kind of natural food.
Therefore, it is super important that natural food is introduced gradually to your dog, and we will teach you how to do it safely for your best friend’s well-being.
HOW TO DO IT SAFELY:
• Day 1: Mix 20% of Oh My Dog! natural food with 80% of dry food (based on the amount of food that you usually offer).
• Day 2: Mix 40% of Oh My Dog! natural food with 60% of dry food (based on the amount of food that you usually offer).
• Day 3 onwards: Repeat the process gradually, always decreasing 20% of the dry food each day, until your dog is 100% introduced to Oh My Dog! natural food.
Also, it is important to offer the natural food at a cool temperature. Do not heat it up to avoid modifying the food’s characteristics.
By following these simple instructions, within a few days, your best friend will be consuming and enjoying 100% natural food with healthy ingredients. And ‘fur sure’ the benefits will soon be proven to you!
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. We are more than happy to help you guide your best friend on this natural food journey.
Our meals are complete and balanced, calculated specifically for each dog.
However, if your dog has had food allergies or dietary problems in the past, we strongly recommend to talk to your vet before switching their diet.
The chart below will assist you in calculating the daily amount of natural food required for a growing puppy. The amounts calculated are per day.
Splitting the total daily requirement into smaller meals aids your puppy digestion and prevents bloating.
You should regularly check your puppy weight and activity levels to maintain a good balance between weight maintenance and growth.
For large breed dogs, you have a little more leeway to adjust amounts based on activity level. Depending on their age, you will feed a percentage of their total current body weight per day in kg.
For example, if you have a 9-week old puppy who weighs 8kg you would calculate their food intake as per below:
At this age, we feed 10% of current total body weight per day times 8 kg, so 0.1 x 8 = 0.8 kg per day or 800 grams per day.
